Are reboots ever good? That's the crux of this episode of my ongoing ranking of every drivey-shooty open world game, Koobert Opens Worlds. You've got one of my favourite series hitting reset after. Despite being wrapped up in tales of gang violence, the woes of capitalism and downright absurdity, Saints Row as a series has always been surprisingly accepting when it came to marginalized individuals — particularly the gay community. It helps that the games have always appealed to queer gamers due to its ahead-of-the-game character customization, allowing players to choose their own body type and voice.

Saints Row Helped Me Realize I’m Trans

Thankfully as far as I've seen like the past Saints Row games, they do not have romance options of any kind for gay or straight. Honestly, too much focus on relationships in some games these days. Though imperfect you are still required to select a gender from binary options , the character creators in the Saints Row series minus the first title have a lot of options that can be selected by either gender, not restricting the player to man-only and woman-only hairstyles, body types, or voices. Two respondents to the Queer Representation survey survey suggest that Saints Row 2 or Saints Row: The Third have a gender slider that can be used to denote gender on a scale.

Gets considered as a male character throughout the game? I played through the game once so far and in several occasions the NPCs and dialogue say "he". Also apparently playing as a female character Pierce does not swing her way, so as male Boss he is straight, but as female Boss, he is gay? Volition r u srs? you couldn't add in a few more lines of dialogue that differs the genders in cutscenes?. .
