Ask people whose disability is referred to or otherwise presented in your work how they talk about themselves. Avoid terms like “handicapped,” “physically challenged,” “special,” “special needs,” and “differently-abled,” which are patronizing. People with disabilities are protected under the Americans with Disabilities Act. Disability refers to conditions that impair the body or mind and make it more difficult or impossible to do certain activities or functions of daily living. However, not every student with disabilities is given the resources and opportunities to thrive and complete their education. 
Disability and dating
Disability and LGBTQ+ identity can both play significant roles in the life of an individual. Disability and sexuality can often intersect, for many people being both disabled and LGBTQ + can result in double marginalization. [1][2] The two identities, either by themselves or in tandem, can complicate questions of discrimination (in workplaces, schools, or otherwise) and can effect access to. This suggests that intolerance contributes to psychological distress, which could cause or worsen conditions such as depression. Individuals who belong to both communities face unique challenges, experiencing what is frequently referred to as double discrimination. This overlap brings forth a range of issues, including limited access to healthcare, employment discrimination, higher poverty rates, and increased vulnerability to harassment and abuse.
