I love being gay, and I absolutely love men, but why did I go down this harder path? We are faced with oppression, mockery, bullying, violence, and sometimes even death. 19 year old male here who just realized he’s gay (maybe bi, i don’t know, still working on it lol). Regardless, I’m not straight and I just realized this relatively recently. Here’s my question: Did something influence me in the recent past? Or is it possible that I was always attracted to men at a subconscious level?. . Why am I gay?
They believe being gay is a choice because they start from a place of homophobia and need to rationalize it rather than questioning that belief. Most people have a moral framework where people choose to do bad things, so it's convenient to lump homosexuality in with other immoral actions that are purely selfish choices. .
