World Pride 2019 New York
Stonewall 50 – WorldPride NYC was a series of LGBTQ events and celebrations in June , marking the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall riots. It was considered the tipping point for the Gay Liberation Movement in America. However, it was still under regular police harassment, according to Britannica Encyclopedia.

There is a two-day festival planned this year during Gay Pride Week which opens following the Pride Month Parade. The Human Rights Campaign (HRC) is providing volunteers for the event, which is held on Saturday, June 8 and Sunday, June 9, You name it. It was the first time WorldPride was held in the US as well as being the 50 th anniversary of the famous Stonewall Riots, protests which happened spontaneously against a police raid on the Stonewall Inn in Greenwich Village.
