It Chapter Two made text what had only been subtext in Stephen King's original book: wise-cracking Losers' Club member Richie Tozier is a gay man, and has romantic feelings for his fellow Loser. One loser, however, reveals some surprising truths about his personal life in the film, leaving fans reeling. Some fans are questioning what this could all mean, and whether this has come from the original source material by Stephen King.

Richie's sexuality (by the way, I agree that he doesn't seem "gay" in the book, as I said in the post I interpret him as bisexual) is subtext in the book, and now it's text in the films. Nicknamed "Trashmouth" for his foul-mouthed humor, Richie has become a successful standup comedian by the time IT Chapter Two picks up, twenty-seven years after the first movie. However, when called back to Derry to battle Pennywise with the other Losers, he begrudgingly obliges after throwing up, anyway.
