But perhaps the most shocking allegation about the Krays was revealed in a book by author John Pearson, who interviewed both brothers before they died. Mr Pearson, who died last year aged 91, alleged Ronnie and Reggie Kray had secret sex with each other in their adolescence - and claims he got his information right from the horse's mouth. Ronnie Kray was a predatory homosexual who terrified young men in Soho in the s so much they hid when they knew he was coming. One former member of "the Firm", Tony Lambrianou, stated that the positive image of the Krays was a "myth", maintaining that the only people the brothers ever cared about were themselves. The two London gangsters robbed, bashed and murdered their way through the London underworld in the 60s, and owned and ran a string of nightclubs and protection rackets.
