I Now Pronounce You Chuck & Larry (also simply known as Chuck & Larry) is a American buddy comedy film directed by Dennis Dugan from a screenplay by Barry Fanaro, Alexander Payne, and Jim Taylor. It stars Adam Sandler and Kevin James as the title characters Chuck Levine and Larry Valentine, respectively, two New York City firefighters who run into various problems after they pretend to be. But these men are straight firefighters forced to pose as a couple for life insurance purposes. A miscast Adam Sandler and a better Kevin James raise a few laughs as they muddle along pretending to be gay, but their journey of discovery homosexuals are nice, and get a raw deal doesn't ring true when the script seems just as prejudiced as they are.
