Refuge provides care, support, and a Christ-centered community for Wheaton College undergraduate students navigating same-sex sexuality and/or gender identity. With adrenaline rushing, I walked through the main student hangout at Wheaton College holding a piece of paper, trying to find someone I could talk to. OneWheaton A community of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, questioning and allied (LGBTQ&A) alumni and students of Wheaton College (Illinois). OneWheaton Mission OneWheaton’s mission is to be an open, inclusive, and safe community for LGBTQ and Allied alumni and students of Wheaton College (IL). Guest speakers Laurie and Matt Krieg spoke to students at various gatherings, while a separate student, faculty and alumnus panel discussed Wheaton experiences. During the first week of April, several on-campus organizations and student groups sponsored a lineup of events about gender and sexuality. 
LGBTQ+ Network
A group of LGBTQ Wheaton College alumni and allies formed OneWheaton, an organization that supports LGBTQ students. We support students and alumni with compassion, counsel, and resources so that they can live full, vibrant lives. Inspired by the "It Gets Better" campaign and emboldened by similar alumni movements happening at other Christian universities, we have come together to be a voice of freedom and hope for students who feel that their sexual orientation or gender identity relegates them to a life of loneliness and isolation.

OneWheaton is a group of Wheaton College alumni that formed in to provide support for LGBT, queer and questioning students at the evangelical Christian college. [1]. Refuge seeks to be a caring and social group through participant-only activities and weekly meetings that foster belonging and acceptance in Christ-centered community.

Signed Shared Agreements will be expunged at the end of each year. **Student Care Services responds to care needs, concerns, and referrals from faculty, staff, and students. They serve as the central point of contact for proactive, responsive, coordinated care and support for all Wheaton students. OneWheaton was formed following a recent chapel series at the college on "Sexuality and Wholeness," in which a speaker supported gay celibacy. The organization writes on its website, "The recent chapel message on Sexuality and Wholeness and surrounding conversations may have left some of you feeling alienated, ashamed and afraid.
What It’s Like to Be Gay at Wheaton College
A year and a half ago, Wheaton made national headlines when a student threw an apple core at another student who, in an all-campus forum, questioned the college’s traditional teachings on sexuality. . Refuge
Wheaton College’s Network for LGBTQ+ Inclusion, Support, and Advocacy is a group of dedicated faculty and staff members working to enhance the social, emotional, and academic lives of LGBTQ+ students. Committee members serve as mentors and advocates, and collaborate with LGBTQ+ students and student organizations on campus. . 
Wheaton College Alumni Support Gay Students
During the first week of April, several on-campus organizations and student groups sponsored a lineup of events about gender and sexuality. On April 2, Refuge, a college-sponsored wellness group for students who identify as LGBTQ, partnered with Student Development to host the annual Know Your Neighbor event. Student and faculty panelists spoke about their experiences and perspectives on. .
