The portrayal of homosexuality in ‘Strong Woman Do Bong Soon’ can create or strengthen harmful stereotypes about gay men in the minds of people, ultimately impacting the lives of real people outside of the show. Remember that role reversal is a big part of the point in this drama. He plays the stereotypical girl in love and she's the more reserved strong guy but in a petite package. I occasionally had qualms with the extreme portrayal of Bong Soon's second boss. He was way over the top which was riotously funny at times and way too stereotyped at other. After he was first introduced, the JTBC series has been receiving mixed response for their representation of the sexual minority character. “Strong Woman Do Bong-Soon” (힘쎈여자 도봉순) is a wonderful series that started off with so much potential. The first few episodes were so great I thought I might be awarding it four stars. But I ended up docking it a point, because of the cringe-inducing way it treated gay people. More on that later. Since Bong-soon fought the gangsters, her strength has been difficult to control. The number one aspect of the show that stuck out in episode 3 was the physical humor.
