International Pride Softball – #iPrideSoftball

MNSA consists of mostly gay and lesbian individuals with one thing in common, the desire to play softball. From it's initial beginnings, the league was started to harbor a safe outdoor environment to meet and socialize with friends. But this is that safe space that we provide, that we will continue to provide as long as we have the opportunity," said Jonathan Crowe, commissioner of the MNSA. This marks the 32nd year the MNSA has hosted the tournament, which serves as the organization's biggest fundraiser.

International Pride Softball provides opportunity and access for the LGBTQ community to participate in organized softball competition in safe environments. International Pride Softball is proud to include 56 cities, over 1, teams and 20, players from across North America in its membership. Each city and its members add rich diversity to our organization.

Nearly 50 teams and almost players from across the U.S. are in Nashville for the Music City Classic LGBTQ+ softball tournament, providing a safe space for community connection. Initially the idea was to start a team of queer folks who would play in the city-run straight leagues. Only a few of those who showed up that first week knew that getting to third base was also a sports reference.

Our organization spans across North America in 30 states and two Canadian provinces. Over 1, teams and 20, active members compete annually.
