Nagito actually starts and then aborts a love confession in the Japanese original version. He also just straight up says "I love you" to Hajime in the manga's English translation. Komeada Nagito who is gay. This boy is gay. There's no hinting at it, or showing it but not confirming it, he confesses to Hinata about his love but switches it to loving his hope at the last second. Plus a line from the English dub in which Hiyoko says "I swear he's getting gayer with age" in the hope arc. Eurogamer is once again marking Pride Month with another week of features celebrating the intersection of queer culture and gaming. Their reasoning?

In the English dub of Danganronpa 3: The End of Hope’s Peak High School: Hope Arc, near the end of the episode, in the background when Nagito is talking to Makoto, Hiyoko can be heard in the background making fun of Nagito for being gay. .
