Eisner-nominated gay writer Steve Foxe, previously known for his work on the superhero duo comic Archer & Armstrong for Valiant Comics and Marvel’s X-Men ‘92, will write the story. Although the art team is yet to be revealed, Marvel has teased -Weaver’s costume, designed by artist Kris Anka. It’s a far cry from Peter Parker’s classic red and blue; Anka’s design, which he shared. This is from the preview for Edge of Spider-verse 5 coming out next week. Out comic writer and the co-creator of Web-Weaver Steve Foxe tweeted a couple panels from the same page earlier this week, explaining that the version of Silk in Edge of Spider-Verse 5 is not, in fact, a gender-flipped version of the character fans know from the main Marvel Comics universe, as fans have apparently been speculating.
