GPL POLO CLUB The Gay Polo League (GPL) is the only LGBTQ polo league in the world! GPL is committed to providing its members with unique, supportive and competitive experiences around the globe. We’re a community that shares a love for adventure, fun, and the beautiful, challenging sport of polo. Putting together an event like the International Gay Polo Tournament, set for April in Wellington, is a Herculean task that begins many months in advance of the big day. Recently, the Polo League has held events celebrating their pride as well as their love for the sport at the International Gay Polo Tournament [4] hosted at the National Polo Center (formally International Polo Club Palm Beach.) [4] The league has also produced GPL polo events in Argentina, England and France. Chip McKenney had hung up his show boots in and was looking for a new sport. He found it at the Santa Barbara Polo Club.

The 15th annual International Gay Polo Tournament is set to take place April , , at Patagones Polo Club in Wellington, Florida. It was when entertainment and sports branding agent Chip McKenney, 50 at the time, started to look for new hobbies. After devoting years to individual sports such as showjumping and skiing, the longtime Angeleno found his way into polo almost by accident, hearing by word of mouth that lessons were available in Santa Barbara.
