A tender image of love on Chicago’s lakefront, taken by Doug Ischar, was archived for decades. Now, his series “Marginal Waters” is being resurfaced in a new exhibit at the MCA Chicago. People around the world face violence and inequality—and sometimes torture, even execution—because of who they love, how they look, or who they are.
