The following year, in , the song was used by Warner Brothers in their first Merrie Melodie cartoon release - Lady, Play Your Mandolin. It is a humorous ballad about a Mexican cowboy who is fond of women, wine, and song. In the film, Donald Duck performs a verse of the song while riding Jenny the Burro and strumming a guitar.
