Opinion that will probably make me end up like Flynn Rider in
Pearl tricked Garnet into fusing with her because she wanted to keep experiencing the feeling of being Sardonyx. Almost like a drug, since it made Pearl feel good about herself, and she constantly wanted more of it. I agree that making Garnet think that Peridot kept repairing the communication hub was a jerk move on Pearl's part, and that it was not the right way to improve her self-esteem. More History. Pearl has feelings for Garnet??? Spoilers if you haven't seen
In "Cry for Help", Garnet tells Pearl, "What we need now is to be careful". When Garnet asked Amethyst to fuse in "Coach Steven", Amethyst is excited while Pearl is grumpy and disappointed. Steven's favorite TV show gets interrupted by a magical disturbance. Steven seems to be enjoying the show, but Amethyst is confused at the cartoon's storyline. Cry for Help

In "Cry for Help," we see Garnet exploited for her strength and stability--betrayed by Pearl, her literal oldest friend in the world--and we see how it (pretty much literally) tears her apart. It's HARD to rattle someone as stable as Garnet so she shakes apart into her component pieces. .

Previously, Garnet and Amethyst destroyed the antenna by fusing into Sugilite, but Sugilite's destructive personality got out of control, so Garnet rules out fusing with Amethyst this time. During the events of the show or even before. Do you think Pearl has ever felt attraction towards Garnet in all the years they've known each other? (keeping in mind that Garnet was "her own gem" and was fused practically all the time so P shouldn't necessarily have felt attracted to Ruby or Sapphire individually). .

In "We need to talk", Pearl is shown to be happy at fusing with Rose. (she may have done this to make Greg jealous) However, in "Cry for Help", when Garnet asks Pearl to fuse in fear of Sugilite losing control, Pearl almost cries in happiness. 3. Pearl PURPOSELY rebuilt the hub twice so she could be with Garnet as Sardonyx again. .
