Visiting Phoenix’s Melrose District during Pride
On this edition of Field Trip Friday, Ian Schwartz and Olivia Fierro took a trip down the block to the Melrose District, Phoenix’s “gayborhood” along a one-mile stretch of 7th Avenue!. This family-owned restaurant features good eats and local artwork in its interior. Their patio is also pet-friendly!

Ian Schwartz Biography Ian Schwartz is a renowned American meteorologist and weather anchor currently working as a morning weather anchor at NBC 5 KTVK Arizona. He joined the station in December from CBS 13 in Sacramento where he served as the network’s weather forecaster and reporter. While working at Albuquerque and Sacramento, Ian covered flashes of flooding, blizzards, tornados, forest fires, drought, and nearly all weather occurrences. When Ian is not forecasting in the morning, he is probably hiking, traveling, or exploring the state and its beautiful environment.
