Atlanta Gay Men’s Chorus director uplifts transgender voices
Founded in by Jeffrey McIntyre with inspiration from the launch of the San Francisco Gay Men’s Chorus four years earlier, the Atlanta Gay Men’s Chorus (AGMC) became the first LGBT chorus in the South and only the fifth in the world. It was history-making then, and it still is today. With more than four decades of service, the AGMC remains committed to its mission – to inspire. Although the shows are similar, Artistic Director Missy Arasi felt it was important to use a different title.
