NEW YORK, NY - For the fifth consecutive year, uniformed officers of the New York Police Department have been barred from marching in the city’s annual Pride Parade, reigniting controversy among law enforcement officials, LGBTQ+ advocacy groups, and parade organizers. Organisers of the annual Pride parade in New York City decided to exclude officers from walking the route in a bid to create a "safer space" for all participants.
