Toronto gay male couple wins Amazing Race Canada's fifth
The amazing two spirit couple, winners of the amazing race canada season 7, known for their advocacy with Indigenous and lgtbq2s communities. However, the couple really started to take off during the race's second half, winning four consecutive legs with one of those wins coming on a leg where they were U-Turned and easily earning themselves a spot in the final three, hoping to win the race to help Sam pay for medical school. This hope would eventually be realized, as the two were able to take the lead quickly in the final leg and never relinquish it, winning their fifth leg in a row and ultimately the race.

Although they went more or less under the radar during the beginning of the race, Sam & Paul quickly demonstrated their potential during the first half of the race by never finishing lower than fourth, including one first place finish.
