Celebrating 44 Years of GMCWMission The Gay Men's Chorus of Washington, DC sings to inspire equality and inclusion with musical performances and education promoting justice and dignity for all. The ensemble is open to all singers between the ages of 13 and More than singers from over 75 schools have participated in GenOUT.

Thea Kano, a Northern California native, became active in the arts at an early age. GMCW is the LGBTQ+ voice of equality in the nation’s capital. We are a renowned performance group. Since , we’ve performed shows nationally, internationally, and at-home in Washington, DC. To date, we have + singing members. Four select ensembles. Five hundred donors. One youth chorus. And an annual audience of 10,+. Our mission is to use music to promote equality, achieve. The season culminates in a twoweek international choral festival with dozens of ensembles from three continents gathering on and around the National Mall in celebration of World Pride! We raise our voices in service of powerful ideals like love, justice, equality, and pride every single day.
