The Fire Emblem series specifically, however, has a long history of gay fan pairing, queer theory readings, and now of explicit queer representation of varying quality. For pride month this year I thought I would do my best to celebrate this long history by trying, to the best of my ability, to catalog it for reference's sake. This project aims to add comprehensive support for same-sex marriage in Fire Emblem: Awakening, allowing characters of the same sex to achieve S support, have children if linked to a second generation character, and introducing new straight and platonic supports. The project also attempts to include new support conversations and in-chapter cutscenes for these options, with ongoing improvements towards accurately representing same-sex marriages within the game.
