Is it normal to only hang out with girls as a male?

You know what I absolutely despise with every fiber of my soul? Girls want a male gay best friend/transboy friend, but if a girl in their friend group comes out as a lesbian they ask if the girl is into them. I think you should ask him if it's something he'd like to do. Ask him what he honestly thinks.

For me and from my own perspective and experiences the guys who mostly hang out with women and they don't want to be be in a relationship or to have sex with them then they are gay or they have some weirdo complex. Our own insecurities can easily get the way of our shared happiness. It is among the most human of all emotions, yet it can destroy the foundation on which healthy connections are formed. Does “girls night” mean the same as ‘partner free’?
My friends have never based "girls night" on actual gender, just on interests. I have female friends who aren't invited on nights where we watch romcoms and paint each others nails, and one of my friends boyfriends frequently comes because he loves that shit, but we still call it girls night, just as the name. . OT
Anyone got any tips for holding conversation on a girls night out? I'm going with my girlfriend to something she's invited me to and everyone there (around 7 people) will be female. It's been a while (obviously) since I've held conversation with girls when drinking, seen as i've been in a relationship so long. I don't really want my girlfriend to feel like she can't enjoy herself and spend. .
