Half Alive (stylized as half•alive or h•a) [1] is an American rock band formed in Long Beach, California, in [2] It consists of Josh Taylor (vocals), Brett Kramer (drums) and J. Tyler Johnson (bass). The band began recording music in , releasing three singles and an extended play (EP). The band gained recognition with their breakthrough single "Still Feel", which peaked at. In November of Josh Taylor, lead singer of The Moderates, a band that originated in Long Beach, California, decided to go on a seven-month song-writing program to write 50 songs. Kramer and Johnson met while performing at music festivals during their university days and had even won a jazz competition together.

welcome!! half alive has been one of my favorite bands for over 7 years now which is kind of crazy to think about. i’ve had the privilege of getting to meet the guys a couple times and they’re always super chill and down to earth. they actually started out as a duo with just josh and brett originally, then added j tyler a few months after. I just started listening to the band Half Alive and tbh they’re really good!! They’re kinda similar to TOP (and I think they’ve gotten some crap for it), but they have some unique differences too. I did a cover of their Song The Fall, which is my favorite of theirs. They don’t have much music out yet, but what they have is really good!. .
