Gay NYC Nightclub Chelsea’s Barracuda Lounge Is Closing
Chelsea’s Barracuda Lounge ( W. 22nd Street, at Eighth Avenue) is closing after 30 years. The gay bar and drag performance space founded by the late Stephen Heighton and Bob Pontarelli will. Due to the US government shutdown, some NYC attractions and parks may have modified hours or be closed. Please call ahead before your visit.

MANHATTAN, N.Y. (PIX11) – A legendary gay bar in Chelsea is set to close. Barracuda Lounge at the corner of 8th and West 22nd Street has been around for 30 years. Plus, a bureka spot is slated for Greenwich Village — and more intel. The gay bar and drag performance space founded by the late Stephen Heighton and Bob Pontarelli will shutter on March 23, Broadway World reports.
