You're missing out on so much culture. Scooters just lack substance and style, as you get older you will understand or you will remain bitter depending on how stubborn you are (scooter kids are usually stubborn to begin with). It also ticks me off that all scooter kids started scooting because they couldn't skateboarding. This line of thinking stems from a narrow and outdated view of masculinity, where only certain behaviors or interests are considered appropriate. At the end of the day, scooters are just a mode of transportation, a convenient, and eco-friendly way to get from one place to another.

I use to think scooters were kind of gay looking but i still think that vespas and vespas looking scooters are kind of gay looking. But now i kind of want a yamaha zuma and trick it out and stuff. i've been watching youtube videos lately on the zuma and some of them actually look pretty sweet tricked out and modded. .

Who said Scooters are gay?Serious/pedant mode.. I think these days the definition of scooter is blurred. I think originally scooter was used to describe a motorcycle where the engine moved up and down with the rear wheel and formed part of the rear swing arm. Other lesser aspects of it being as scooter were that it had footboards instead of pegs and a step through frame, regardless of the size. .

Why are push scooters usually considered "lame" or "gay"? I'm not so sure if it's the same in other countries, but in Australia, if you're caught riding a push scooter and your age in has more than one digit, you'll be yelled out, called names and even pushed and bullied. Modern Vespa
Same goes for the scooters EXCEPT when ya call em peds. People who are all hardcore, but can't do jack to their ride are losers. I've seen some pretty sweet scooters and some ones I'm ashamed to even be classed with at the DMV. At the right price I'd buy a vintage vespa at the drop of a hat they're pretty sweet. .
