KyoJino is the femslash ship between Kyomoto and Ayumu Fujino from the Look Back fandom. During fourth grade, Fujino would make 4-komas for her school's weekly newspaper, often getting praise from her classmates due to her drawing skills. Fujino enjoyed this praise, even indulging in it. Neither Fujino nor Kyomoto is girly, nor are they not not girly enough to wear the occasional skirt. As far as who the character is, what their skills are, and what they accomplish, gender does. However, one day, a classmate named Kyomoto—who frequently skips school—also contributes to that section and is even rated higher than Fujino, sparking jealousy in her and pushing her to work harder to surpass Kyomoto. Look Back
Fujino is meant to represent Fujimoto, someone who loves to draw manga but sees his art as inadequate and inferior to many other talented mangakas (Fujimoto’s own words) Kyomoto is meant to represent those gifted with greater talents and the thing her name is referring to is Kyoto Animations, the studio viewed as the epitome of talent in Japan. There were three things I knew about Look Back before I entered the theater. All three of those statements are correct.
Look Back Perfectly Captures the Joy and Pain of Being an
Look Back ends with Fujino gradually overcoming Kyomoto's death and learning how to keep going with her life. Look Back 's tragic ending emphasizes the importance of not letting grief consume you. The direction of the film adaptation perfectly captures the bittersweet nature of the story's ending. Just like the original manga, the film follows the developing friendship and manga partnership of its two leads, Fujino and Kyomoto, but as they enter their adult years, their friendship is met with a tragedy that neither of them can recover from. The execution and ultimate conclusion of the story made for just as great an ending in animation as it did in print.
Look Back Ending Explained
As Fujino is loaded into an ambulance for injuries, the two meet similar to the way they originally did. Returning home, Kyomoto draws a yonkoma, titled "Look Back", of Fujino saving her in Fujino's childhood style. A gust of wind blows the strip out of the room and into the view of Fujino back in the original timeline. You may know Fujimoto by his most popular work, Chainsaw Man.
